One of my favorite tools in my drafting kit is my pattern notcher. I still have the first one I bought in college in 2001. I love my pattern notcher because I can cut clean, perfectly shaped notches every time. The notcher is a high quality tool made entirely of metal that will continue to perform for many years. Mine still cuts the same as when I bought it in college. The notcher cuts like a hole punch into paper patterns for marking of important details of your pattern (matching points, sleeve ease, style lines, etc.). Rather than using tracing paper to transfer marks, notching your pattern is much faster, cleaner and more accurate.
This is a tool I never leave behind for any project! You can find pattern notchers in the Sewing Shoppe in Theatre Garage, $55/each.
