DESCRIPTION:THIS WORKSHOP IS CANCELLED. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. TICKET HOLDERS HAVE BEEN CONTACTED. \nHave you ever wondered how drag performers achieve their amazing look? This will be your opportunity to learn from talented local drag performer\, Vanity Fair! Ask questions\, and hear stories from her experiences with drag. Vanity Fair will walk you through Drag makeup step by step. Participants are welcome to follow along the tutorial with their own makeup. Learn the ins and outs of Drag makeup to bring your incredible drag persona to life! As RuPaul always says ‘We’re all born naked and the rest is drag!’ \n  \nThis is an inclusive event. All are welcome! Whether you are a drag superstar already or completely new to drag\, this event has something for everyone. \n  \nWith close to 25 years  experience in the local YEG drag scene Vanity Fair can help you turn any look! Color\, glitter\, impersonation….whatever your style she can help you nail the basics and polish you look with detail. She’s got tricks and tips to help get you started and inspired. \n  \nAll skill levels are welcome. Please wear your crafting clothing due to makeup being used in this workshop. Please be aware latex may be used in this workshop. This workshop is $50 and is 2 hours. \nStudents will receive a 10% discount on all makeup and makeup tools following the workshop. \nBe sure to book early! Our workshops are taught in small groups. Each workshop has a minimum amount of students needed. If workshop does not meet that minimum by 72 hours before scheduled start the workshop will be cancelled or rescheduled. For all our polices please visit http://www.theatregarage.ca/ \nTERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WORKSHOPS\n\nChildren under 12 years of age are not permitted to attend. DESCRIPTION:This is our most popular workshop in the 7 years we have been hosting workshops! Special effects makeup is a fun and rewarding challenge. Whether you are a professional makeup artist or enjoy makeup as a hobby\, this workshop is designed for everyone at all skill levels. Special effects makeup can be used for transforming a person into a creature/monster\, older age\, gore\, injury and so much more. This workshop is taught by a professional makeup artist that can teach you the tips and tricks of the industry while practicing safely. \nTammy is a professional makeup artist that trained at Blanche MacDonald. Tammy specializes in FX and fantasy makeup. Tammy loves working in film\, with her clients and loves to teach her specialized makeup skills! \nThis hands-on and demonstration workshop will cover: \n\nWhat is special effects makeup and why is it used\nWhat are the best brands to use\, where to source them and how to take care of your kit\nExplore how to make quick and easy prosthetics\nLearn how to apply prosthetics and remove safely\nLearn the art of old-age makeup\, realistic injuries and illusion makeup\nPractice making a cut and bruise on yourself\nDiscuss how to use gel effects and stage blood\n\nAll skill levels are welcome. SUMMARY:Face and Body Painting Makeup with Tammy Neron
DESCRIPTION:In the world of makeup artistry\, body-painting can feel like the Mount Everest of applications! A full body paint has many different challenges to consider: which type of makeup should I use? How can I make it long-lasting? How do I accomplish a full body paint? How can I achieve the illusion I want? These are just a few of the most common questions. In this workshop we will explore many different answers to each of these questions. This workshop has hands-on application and makeup demos\, as we want you to try as many different types of makeup as possible! \nTammy is a professional makeup artist that trained at Blanche MacDonald. Tammy specializes in FX and fantasy makeup.
