Eva foam is a Building material for cosplay costumes and props. It is lightweight and affordable. EVA can be heat shaped with a heat gun. Details can easily be added with sand paper or a dremel.
WARNING: A respirator should be worn while working with EVA. Work in a well ventilated area away from others especially pets and children.
